Program to review Western Australian football clubs to assess their current ability to provide for the needs of disadvantaged and disabled persons.
Clubs will be provided with appropriate resources and/or training designed to correct any gaps or deficiencies that are identified; and
the resources provided will include:
the upskilling and retraining of individuals so that they are able to understand the needs of disadvantaged and disabled persons and support them at an appropriate level; and
providing template resources outlining best practice policies and improvements to administrative and operational procedures.
Empowerment and Leadership Program
Individual based leadership program delivered by Ambassadors and mentors to support for players, coaches, referees, community members and leaders, particularly those from at-risk communities, on:
Physical and mental wellness;
Education and training – including career and skills development;
Communication and engagement;
The program includes development plans that links with relevant education and training requirements and supporting organisations.
Fee for Service Programs
Skills-based training centres that focus on improve the education and training outcomes for players, coaches and referees across Western Australia. Relevant modules are linked with both football technical learning, as well as to modules relating to communication and engagement, inclusion, decision-making and leadership.
The Training Centres are an important function for delivering training to priority communities with access and facility barriers, particularly in regional and remote areas of WA.
