Who can volunteer?

We welcome people from all backgrounds who are passionate about inclusion, community and making a positive impact.

You do not need to be an experienced football coach to volunteer. There are many ways to get involved depending on your skills, interests, availability and the needs of our programs.

Volunteer roles may include supporting:

  • Football sessions and programs
  • Events and community activations
  • Participant engagement and inclusion
  • Equipment set-up and pack-down
  • Administration and operations
  • Coaching support
  • Family and community connection
  • Fundraising and special projects

Our volunteer process

You can express your interest by completing our volunteer expression of interest form or by contacting us directly.

Our Volunteer Coordinator will arrange a short casual chat with you. This is not a formal interview. It is simply a chance for us to get to know you, learn about your interests and availability, and talk through possible volunteer opportunities.

After the chat, our team will consider where your skills, interests and availability may best fit across our programs, events or operations.

If there is a suitable opportunity available, we will confirm the next steps with you in writing.

Depending on the role, volunteers may be required to provide: • Working With Children Check • National Police Clearance • Date of birth or age, so we can confirm whether a volunteer is under 18 • Any other information required to support safe and appropriate placement

Volunteers will be invited to attend an onboarding and training session. This will include important information about Football Futures Foundation, our policies, expectations, safety requirements and how we support participants.

Once onboarding is complete, our Volunteer Coordinator will work with the program team to place volunteers where the need is highest and where there is the best fit.
